Words From Our Guest

Hannah Short

Under the ledge campground is set in the most spectacular location with stunning views of the valley! The huts are very comfortable and clean, along with the facilities. Toni was a fantastic host and provided an excellent tour of the mountains for us. The nearby waterfall is beautiful and definitely worth a trip. Would definitely recommend to anyone who fancies a peaceful, remote and beautiful escape!

Whatever you try to say about this place, you can’t quite grasp it without actually going there and experiencing it! Totally remote place, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by astonishing nature and waterfalls! And our host Tony made every second of our trip worth it. Food, servings, acommodation and vibes - everything was top notch. My full recommendation to go and visit this place, it is definitely worth every step!
P.S. Tony is also extra responsive, and he was there to guide us through our preparation for this trip :)

We stayed at “Under the Ledge” and it was a truly special experience. Tony is incredibly warm and welcoming, and the nature surrounding the place is breathtaking. The rooms are simple but very comfortable, with everything you need — hot shower, kitchen, toilet. You can’t get here by car, which makes it even more peaceful. It’s amazing to think Tony built it all without any vehicles. Perfect spot to rest after a hike. We had the best time!! Would definetly come back again.

Book Your Stay

Our season runs from May 1st to the first week of October.
We offer 4 rustic A-frame cabins and dedicated tent terraces, all surrounded by silence, pine, and sky.

As a remote, self-catering campground with no road access, we kindly ask all guests to book at least 3 days in advance. This allows us to prepare clean sheets, mule transport (if needed), and ensure your corner of the mountain is ready.

FAQ

No — the final stretch to the campground is on foot. The trail starts near the school in Selce and is marked with red and white stripes. Luggage mule service is available for a fee.

While Under The Ledge is a self-catering campground, we offer a small but thoughtful selection of local goods and simple groceries to enhance your stay. Depending on the season, guests may find freshly harvested vegetables, handmade jams, herbal teas, or dried mountain herbs — all grown or prepared nearby. We also stock bottled spring water, natural juices, and cold drinks, along with firewood bundles for cozy evenings by the fire. These items are available for an additional fee and in limited quantities, so we recommend asking about availability in advance or upon arrival. We also offer a full outdoor kitchen and BBQ facilities, but you’ll need to bring your own food. Grocery stores are available in Selce or Tamara village before your hike.

There is no full power. We provide solar battery lamps for the evening, and a few charging stations for phones or lights — but this is a fully off-grid experience.

Yes — please book at least 3 days before your arrival. This helps us prepare clean bedding, confirm your hiking plan, and arrange any transport if needed.

Absolutely. Many solo travelers find peace here. Just let us know ahead, and we’ll help you prepare for the trail.

Our season runs May 1st to early October. Spring and early summer bring wildflowers and fresh water; late summer is quieter, with warm nights and golden light.

Yes, but please keep in mind: it requires a hike to access, there’s no road or electricity, and you’ll need to supervise children closely.
